Gamesday 2011 Skaven Warlord

This was Games Workshops Games Day 2011 Miniature. I bought it through ebay. Very expensive. I am not a fan of limited edition miniatures or convention special miniatures.

Here we go the finished Skaven Warlord. This is a nice model. Used the Airbrush to achieve a OSL. Easy but you need a steady hand. After this I put some glossy varnish over the spheres. To give more the illusion of gas in a glass sphere. The fur was simulated by a lot of brush strokes. You can see fur hair. It was also the first time to use cork for the base.

Skaven Pack Master

After a longer break from the Skaven. Finally the Pack Master for the Rat Ogres.

Here a family picture.

Skaven Mortar Team

The Clanrats mob get supported by a Mortar Team. Gave the bombs a shiny look by glossy varnish.

Skaven Ratogre 2

Second one is ready to be shown. Isn't he lovely.
Also made a new picture of the previous Ratogre.

Skaven Ratogre 1

Yesterday at night the first Rat Ogre was finished. Second is on the way with their tamer. Like this model. The Rat Ogres from the starter box look pretty and fit better to the new clanrats.

Skaven Clanrats 1

The first Skaven Clanrats regiment is brought together. All four groups of five. This makes them 20 in total. They are from the Island of Blood Starterbox. Was fun to paint and a lot of work. The result is worth it.

Skaven Clanrats: first 5 finished

I finished the first five test clanrats. The schema fits very good to me. Cloths are in red and bone white. Shaded with brown washes. Skin are dark skin tones with flesh wash (red&brown). Maybe the shields get markings after all 20 are ready. Was a lot of fun to paint. The next five are in work...
